Motsepe changes Downs policy

JOHANNESBURG. – Mamelodi Sundowns’ billionaire owner Patrice Motsepe says the South African Premiership soccer club’s players out on loan should be allowed to play against them, and players’ salaries should be market-related. “I don’t want players not to be playing. If a player is not in the plans of the coach, we should allow him to play elsewhere, including playing against Sundowns,” Motsepe said.

“There is a suggestion that we sometimes pay players more than the market can take. It’s the club’s obligation that we should not create salaries that may be too high in terms of what the market can take.” – Supersport.com
