MSU student enters music industry

A Media and Society Studies student with the MSU, Tafadzwa Rusike Gondo whose stage name is Tafgeezy, officially launched his debut 10-track album on New Year’s Day at a gig which was staged at one of the night spots in Harare.

In an interview Tafgeezy said the album was produced by Temptation Chirenje aka (Tman) from Mt Zion Studios.

Mt Zion Studios produces songs for various urban grooves who include X-tra Large, Tobbie, XQ among others.

Tafgeezy said his album was dedicated to his ex-girlfriend.

“All songs on the 10 track album are love songs. The album is dedicated to my ex-girlfriend. With the experiences we shared, I thought of coming up with some songs out of it,” said Tafgeezy.

The 25-year-old from Marimba Park in Harare said artistes like X-tra Large, Mugo, Nico D and XQ inspired him to venture into music industry

He said he was very happy that the music fans were appreciating his talent and this motivates him to release more albums.

“Many people are enjoying my music as it is being played in most night spots in the capital city and this alone is a great motivation for me,” he said.

Some of the songs on Tafgeezy is 10-track album include the title track Rudo Rwangu Newe, which features Ba Shupi and Audrey K, and Sweet Lady, which features XQ and Yung Roja, and Kuhope among others.
