Mugodhi Apostolic Faith Church leader Aaron Munodawafa dies aged 111

GOKWE – The Mugodhi Apostolic Faith Church (MAFC) is mourning the loss of its revered leader, Aaron Munodawafa, who passed away peacefully at the age of 111.

The church’s legal department confirmed Munodawafa’s passing in a statement released on Wednesday afternoon.

Munodawafa died of natural causes at the home of his son in Gokwe. Despite experiencing visual impairment in his later years, he remained a beloved figure within both the church and the broader community.

He is set to be laid to rest on February 7 in Jani Village, Guru, Masvingo Province.

Munodawafa became the leader of the apostolic sect in 2019, following the death of the late Tadeau Mugodhi, and served as a guiding light for his congregants.

Congregants expressed profound sadness, recalling Munodawafa’s steadfast faith and unwavering commitment to his followers. He is remembered for his compassion, wisdom, and multi-generational leadership.

“He was a beacon of hope for many. His teachings and guidance will continue to inspire us for years to come,” said one member.

The loss of their leader has created a palpable sense of grief, but his legacy will live on within the hearts of those who followed him. – New Ziana
