ZIMBABWE international midfielder Marshall Munetsi is on the verge of committing his long-term future to French outfit Paris FC, cutting ties with English Premier League strugglers Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Munetsi’s French chapter began with another Ligue 1 side, Reims, back in 2019, where he built his reputation as a dependable midfielder before joining Wolves.

After a brief English Premier League spell, he joined Paris FC on loan and is now linked with an opportunity to return to France permanently. A source close to the player revealed that “negotiations have reached an advanced stage,’’ with both parties keen to finalise the deal before the end of the month.

“Marshall has found his rhythm again in France. Paris FC have shown him trust, and he feels valued here.

“The decision to stay is about stability and continuing to play at a high level,” said a source who is close to the player. Munetsi enjoyed a successful six-year spell at Stade de Reims and returned to French Ligue 1 on loan in January 2026 after a brief stint in England.

His performances in Paris have reignited his reputation as one of the most reliable defensive midfielders in the league. “He knows Ligue 1 well, and the fans appreciate his work ethic. Wolves was a good experience, but France feels like home for him,” added the insider.

Paris FC officials are reportedly delighted with the player’s impact, both on and off the pitch. His leadership qualities and consistency have been highlighted as key reasons for pushing to secure him permanently.

“The club is delighted with what Munetsi can offer in their squad. He has the experience and they treat him as a cog to lead the youthful squad.”

It is also understood that Munetsi’s family are comfortable with life in France, and it will also work as a critical determining factor.
