THE City of Harare on Friday last week hosted a delegation from Munich at the Greengrove Nature Reserve in Greendale as part of efforts to explore ways of improving the recreational facility.
In an interview, Ward 9 Harare East councillor Prince Mutebuka said the delegation visited the reserve to assess its condition and identify areas that required attention.
“The Greengrove Nature Reserve is expected to have a football pitch, thatched shades and benches in the park for people to relax,” he said.
Clr Mutebuka said council also wanted to rebuild the damaged dam wall to enable the reserve to harvest and store rainwater.
“We also want to rebuild the dam wall that was damaged so that when it rains, we harvest water,” he said.
