DYNAMOS skipper Murape Murape says unity of purpose will take them to the Promised Land as the Glamour Boys eye a strong finish this season in search of a fourth straight championship under Callisto Pasuwa. The Glamour Boys have since put behind them the sad chapters which put their club in bad light last month when the players downed tools in protest before a training ground brawl between the captain and striker Roderick Mutuma.

Dynamos lead the charts with 42 points, three ahead of second-placed Highlanders.
ZPC Kariba can still slash the gap down to two points if they win in Bulawayo this afternoon.

DeMbare’s old foes CAPS United slipped four points adrift when they played a goalless draw at Bantu Rovers yesterday.
Murape yesterday said the Harare giants will not rest on their laurels despite the advantage.

“Winning a league title is something that does not come on a silver platter. There are only eight games remaining and we would need to remain focused as we approach the finishing line,” said Murape.

“It’s definitely not going to be an easy road because at this stage all teams are playing for points. We need a positive mind and unity of purpose.

“As a team we have one goal which we are aiming at and that needs us to be united. I think unity is key from the supporters up to the top.
“We are happy with the way things are going for us on the log table, but one thing that has been worrying is the fact that we are not scoring enough goals compared to our rivals.

“So it means we have to collect points. In the previous years we have won it on superior goal difference and this season it looks like it’s not safe for us to rely on goals.

“Our fate is in our hands. As it stands, we can claim the title if we win all our remaining games without having to worry about anyone else. But it’s tricky, we already have finished our business with both Highlanders and CAPS United and we now probably need to make sure that we collect points from ZPC Kariba as well.”

DeMbare have played almost all the big games against teams involved in the race.
Most of their remaining games will be played in Harare but they have two tricky away assignments to FC Platinum and Buffaloes.

Before their next league fixture away to FC Platinum, DeMbare will rekindle their rivalry with Highlanders tomorrow in the TM Pick n Pay Challenge Cup at the National Sports Stadium.
