Murder investigation launched after unidentified body is found on Harare-Mutare Road in Rusape

The body of an unidentified man believed to have been murdered by unknown assailants was found along the Harare-Mutare Road in Rusape over the weekend.

The body was found near Zuva Service Station with a deep cut on the head.

National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi said investigations into the case are in progress.

“The ZRP is investigating a murder case involving an unidentified man whose body was found along the Harare-Mutare Road near Zuva Service Station, Rusape, on September 13, 2025,” he said.

“The victim had a deep cut on the head and was wearing black jean trousers, black tracksuit top, purple T-shirt, and blue plastic shoes.

“Anyone with information that might assist with investigations is requested to report to the nearest police station.”
