Mushekwi finishes as first runner in Chinese Golden Boot race

IMPOSING former Warriors striker Nyasha Mushekwi has finished as the first runner in the 2023 Chinese Super League Golden Boot contest with 18 goals under his belt.

He interestingly played second fiddle to his teammate Leonardo Joe who scored 19 goals.

Mushekwi grabbed his last goal in the league’s final match when they played against Shanghai Shenhua.

Last season, the Zimbabwean also scored 18 times.

In 2021, Mushekwi finished the season as the Chinese top goal getter.

Then he had netted a massive 23 goals, three ahead of Nigerian Chisom Egbuchulam.
