Music Crossroads scouts for new talent

The talent search programme will take place under the banner “Imagine Zimbabwe National Finals”.

“Imagine has been previously linked with the Music Crossroads Inter-Regional Festival and its previous winners have toured Europe playing at Image events in Norway, Sweden, Belgium and Croatia.

“For the first time, a Zimbabwean group will have a chance to compete in the Image International finals and this chance could change their music destiny forever,” said a spokesperson the organisers.

Music Crossroads is set to host its annual Imagine Zimbabwe National Final at its academy in Budiriro where young musicians between the ages of 12 and 20 will showcase their music talents. The competition registration starts today for the competition scheduled for this Saturday.

Image is a programme that runs under Jeunesses Musicales International. It is an all style music competition for young artistes which has been running for the past 20 years.
Image has grown into a unique development and exchange platform for young musicians in nine countries and aims to expand.

Through professional performance, opportunities, workshops, artiste exchanges and industry training, Image has become an international launch pad for the careers of many young musicians.

The development by Music Crossroads is set to usher in a new breed of musicians. Music Crossroads is credited with identifying Progress Chipfumo, First Farai, Club Shanga and Mokoomba, among an array of musical outfits.
