Upcoming artiste Pineal Munatsi has blasted church leaders that engage in evil practices and claim to represent God.
In a song “Tembere Dzawanda” from his album “Muromo Moto” that was released last week, the musician says some sprouting churches are misleadingpeople. Munatsi who made his name with single “Zvirikufaya Ndi Mwari” said it was a sad development that churches are increasing in numbers but with little of God’s work being done.
“I have seen several reports of church leaders being exposed of wrong doings and that was my main inspiration on that song,” he said.
Munatsi, who is based in England, said he was encouraged by the response the album is getting.
“That song has become a favourite of many people as it tells the real situation about these churches,” he said.
He says some of the songs on the albums have already made it on different platforms.
“Just a week after the release of the album I realised that it was already on iTunes and YouTube with so many views and that is so encouraging,” he said. The album was recorded at Healing Hands Recording Studio.
“We have decided to work with Healing Hands Recording Studio because they have worked with several artistes here who are doing well in the industry,” said Munatsi.
Munatsi has also engaged the producer of the studio Enock Kamhiriri to be his manager.
Some of the songs on the album are “Muromo Moto”, “Zvirikufaya NdiMwari”, Tembere Dzawanda” and “Mubvunzire” among others.
He said he has already engaged Gramma Records for distribution and marketing of his music back home. “Home is the best now and we are hoping that people will get the music,” he said. Born in 1974 in Gutu, Munatsi did his primary and secondary education at Dewure School before he did Automotive Engineering at Harare Polytechnic. He moved to England in 2001 to study for a degree in Information Technology.
