South Africa-based gospel musician Daboe Ncube is preparing for a homecoming show to reconnect with his fans.
The concert is set for December 22 at a venue to be announced and will run under the theme “Ebenezer: For the Lord has kept us all for such a time as this”.
Ncube said the idea came after his recent visit home in July, where he ministered at a local church.
“I noticed that people really missed me. They wanted more, but my time was short, so I decided to plan a homecoming event where we can worship and praise God together,” he said.
He said the event will feature some of Zimbabwe’s top gospel musicians, including Mai Mwamuka, with talks underway to bring guest performers from Cape Town.
“I promise nothing but God’s presence and His movement in our midst,” said Ncube.
Ahead of the concert, the gospel star will release a new single in mid-September titled Musandipfure Jesu, a Shona hymn featuring Cape Town-based artiste Lutho Mzinzi.
“The song is a heartfelt prayer asking Jesus not to pass us by while blessing others,” he said.
