TALENTED Bulawayo-based keyboardist Wenkosi Tshili, known for his performances at various churches, is in urgent need of approximately US$7 000, to undergo a kidney transplant and neurosurgical treatment in India.
The 25-year-old musician, son of Bishop Fikekhaya and Londiwe Tshili of His-Presence International Ministries (OLFC), has been battling chronic kidney disease since 2016, enduring years of dialysis. In October 2024, he suffered a stroke accompanied by severe brain bleeding, further complicating his condition.
In January 2025, a fundraising concert raised US$987 and R1 050, enabling Wenkosi to travel to India. However, upon arrival, he was diagnosed with a heart infection, which necessitated additional surgeries. While several procedures have since been performed, the funds were exhausted before the crucial kidney transplant could be carried out.
In a recent statement, the family expressed gratitude for the support received so far and highlighted the immediate need for US$7 000 to cover a US$5 000 hospital bill and an additional US$2 000 for the upcoming transplant.
To assist with the fundraising efforts, artistes in Bulawayo have organised a charity concert scheduled for May 1, from 4pm to 6:30pm, at Victory Fellowship Church. Performers will include Fragnant, Worship iWorship, Vocal Ex, Vuyi Sax, Lorraine Maplanka, Mai Mwamuka, Baba Wale, Nyasha Muzhari and Minister Simba. Fellow artiste and concert organiser, Nokuthaba “Nonoza Neshiri, urged the community to support the cause.
“We encourage everyone to attend the concert and contribute during or after the event. Every donation brings us closer to securing the necessary treatment for Wenkosi,” she said.
Donations can be made through the following channels:
l Local contributions: Stanbic Nostro Account – 9140004134884, Nelson Mandela Branch, in the name of Hloniphani Ndlovu; or via InnBucks or EcoCash on +263 772 285 279.

The artiste’s family remains hopeful that, with continued support, Wenkosi will receive the life-saving treatment he urgently needs.
