He said Zimbabwe should hold elections because a coalition government was not the best way to run a country.
“If you look at everywhere where there have been coalition governments, there are problems. This Government is dysfunctional and there is incoherence and this is not the best way to run a country. There should be one party, one leader who forms a Government that has direction,” he said.

He said political parties should not humiliate each other but instead work together until elections. “Some are claiming victory from the Luanda summit but the fact is the winner from Luanda needs the co-operation of the loser to achieve what was recommended. This is a flawed and unproductive framework because we have to work together.
“We are masters of our own destiny and Sadc will never tell us what to do and even Zuma is just there to encourage us strike common ground,” he said.
