MUTARE Boys’ High School headmaster, Philip Padhuze is the new National Association of Secondary Heads (NASH) head in charge of rugby.
The Mutare Boys’ High headmaster’s election to the influential post comes at a time when his administration at the once revered institution is on a developmental trajectory spurred by the inclusion of old hands in the game such as coach, Casper ‘Belt’ Bandi.
In an interview soon after his election, Padhuze said: “After I have been in an acting capacity for two years, I managed to engage all the 10 provinces’ high schools and secondary schools to be part of the rugby family.
“It used to be a preserve of Association of Trudt Schools (ATS) and former Group A schools only. I managed to change the landscape, and every part of the country is now into rugby. It is now one of the most favoured sports.
“Matebeleland North is our latest province to come on board, and Mosi-a-tunya High school will be participating for the first time in the upcoming Under-20 national finals to hosted in Midlands.”
