Mutare City widen gap

MUTARE CITY Rovers opened a five-point gap after they dismissed Black Eagles 3-0 in a Zifa Eastern Region Division One league match at Sakubva over the weekend.
The Zifa Eastern Region Division One league pacesetters were helped by Eastern Stars’ surprise 1-2 away defeat to Mwenezana.
Mutare City Rovers will now go into the second round of the season leading the championship race.
Masvingo United and Buffaloes Junior, who did not play at the weekend, now trail the leaders by seven points.

The two sides will have their postponed match this weekend after they were fined for the violence their meeting.
