FC Platinum coach Lloyd Mutasa says he is not under any pressure to win.
He said the side is still adjusting to his type of play.Mutasa replaced Zambian expatriate, Tennant Chilumba at the platinum miners after the latter returned to his homeland but “Samaita” as Mutasa is known, is yet to notch a win for FC Platinum in the two league games he has been in charge.
Since Mutasa arrived in Zvishavane on 21 June, “Kugona Kunenge Kudada” has won once against Motor Action 1-0 after having gone down 0-2 to Black Rhinos at Rimuka Stadium a week earlier.
On Wednesday Mutasa saw his charges being held to a 2-2 draw against Caps United at Mandava Stadium.
However, the win against Motor Action is credited to former assistant coach, Tendai Chikuni who has since been re-assigned to the developmental side as Samaita was in Zambia for the Cosafa Championships.
With the Zvishavane side in sixth position, pressure is on Mutasa to start winning but the soft-spoken former Dynamos and Flame Lily coach believes good things are on the way for the hard to please FC Platinum supporters.
“I think I have only been here for three matches winning one, drawing one and losing the other but this is work in progress. Good things are on the way.
“The players are not really there as I want since they have only played three matches so they cannot gel in to the tiki-taka style just like that but I hope they will come to the party very soon,’’ he said.
Mutasa believes the FC Platinum players will soon adapt to his type of play which he said is the most basic of football, passing and supporting the man on the ball before maintaining that it is only a matter of time before results start to come his way.
