Mutoko unleashes video album

video album.
The album features beautiful scenes from five different countries – Dubai, Tanzania, Uganda, Zimbabwe and the United Kingdom.
Released by Metro Studios, the new album titled “Adelante”, a Spanish word which means move on, is a collector’s item for his fans.
The 85-minute video album opens with a short introduction of Mr Fantastic’s profile which explains how a scientist with no musical background turned himself into a sought-after musician. Production-wise, the video is edgy but musically it is an imaginative piece and shows why the artist’s videos are getting better with each release.
Tapuwa Chitate and his co-producers Cosmas Jonga and Isaiah Mwale had one of the biggest task of combining the footage from different countries. “Ndine Chichemo” is the first video and it features scenes from Dubai deserts.
Rumbidzai Chaleka, Loveness and Nyasha Mamombe, the backing vocalists, appear in the video dressed in traditional Arab attire while Mr Fantastic spots a ghutrah, a traditional Arab headdress tailored from a square cotton scarf.
The scarf is commonly found in arid regions to provide protection from direct sun as well as the mouth and eyes from dust and sand.
Besides the scarf, Mr Fantastic and Nyasha stand out with their white long-sleeved robes typical of men in Dubai and the ladies settle for black gowns as is Arab tradition.
However, fans will wonder why the chart topper “Mwari Vakatendeka” was not on this new video album. Also not included on the video was Mr Fantastic’s brother in-law Nehemia Seka who penned most of the controversial songs for the musician.
“Yes he used to write songs and give them to me but he has since stopped since he is planning his own debut album before the end of this year,” Mr Fantastic said.
Two of Seka’s songs “Papa I Praise Your Name” and “Zvimwe Zvinoda Minamato” once caused a serious feud within the Mutoko family as some members felt they were insults to them.
Back to the video, “Ndouraiwa” starts with people discussing issues something which leaves critics asking if Mr Fantastic is capable of putting his own ideas into practice.
“Ndoredza Vanhu” probably has the most beautiful sites that reflect the artificial beauty of Dubai.
Mutoko emerges from the FJ Toyota Cruiser and smartly dressed. The other video worthy mentioning is the live song “Musandityira” and “Mwana Wani.”
