CHEVRONS fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani has managed to find his feet in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) after joining Karachi Kings last week.

The lanky Chevron star bowler has only managed to play three games for Karachi Kings and has picked up four wickets. The four scalps came in his last two matches against his former side Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators where he picked two wickets apiece.

He has been picking crucial wickets for the ambitious Karachi Kings side. In their match against Quetta Gladiators on Wednesday, Muzarabani helped his team register an interesting seven-wicket win.

Muzarabani picked two crucial wickets as Karachi Kings bowled out Quetta Gladiators for just 118 runs in 19,1 overs before they went on to chase down the target in 15,3 overs, finishing on 121/3. The victory was their third in seven matches.

After Karachi Kings won the toss and elected to bowl first, Muzarabani drew first blood in the third over as he took the wicket of the dangerous Jason Roy for 15 runs off eight balls to leave Quetta Gladiators on 20/1 in 2,1 overs. He would go on to pick the wicket of Sherfane Rutherford for nine runs.

Muzarabani finished with impressive figures of 2/27 in his four-over spell while Hasan Ali was the pick of the bowlers with match-winning figures of 4/15 in four overs. Zahid Mahmood took two scalps for 25 runs in four overs as well.

In Karachi Kings’ chase, Tim Seifert starred with the bat as he fell one run short of what would have been a brilliantly played half-century. Seifert scored 49 runs off 31 balls while James Vince made 27 runs from 28 balls. Veteran Shoaib Malik remained undefeated on 27 runs from 20 balls. The three wickets that fell were taken by Akeal Hosein, Mohammad Amir, and Abrar Ahmed.

Muzarabani won the PSL in 2021 with current log leaders Multan Sultans. He is one of the three Zimbabwean internationals taking part in the ongoing ninth edition of the league alongside Richard Ngarava and Sikandar Raza.
