Seke traditional healer David Muzenda, whose Gokwe mistress was found dead in his car on Tuesday, was yesterday transferred to CID Marondera from Dema Police Station and is expected to appear in court today on a murder charge. A warned and cautioned statement was recorded in Marondera and a docket compiled. His lawyer, Mr Zivanai Macharaga, said Muzenda would appear before a local magistrate today.

Muzenda surrendered himself to the police around 4pm on Tuesday in the presence of his lawyer and claimed that his girlfriend shot herself.
Investigations by The Herald show Muzenda as a flamboyant man who loves to flaunt his money.

He apparently paid US$35 000 lobola for one of his many wives in Gokwe in February.
Muzenda communicates with clients through social media platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter and e-mail.

His Facebook page has pictures of him with wads of cash, some of which he holds in his teeth, while others show him with “goblins” and other such things.
He refers to himself as “professor” and brags about his riches and shows off houses, cash and cars.

The cars include Mercedes-Benz ML, A Class and C Class models; a Toyota Prado, a Nissan Navara, a VW Touareg, a Range Rover Vogue and a Nissan Hardbody.
Muzenda of Nembudziya, Gokwe, settled in Chigova Village after he was lured to relocate there by an affluent family that was satisfied with his services.

In September 2009, he captured headlines when he “foretold” a female neighbour’s imminent death – but he also angered many who accused him of causing her demise.
