NATIONAL super-bantamweight champion Tinashe “Chairman” Mwadziwana has promised hell on challenger Jeremiah Mhere whom he meets in the main drawcard of the Gypsites Sports Promotions boxing bill at Harare Showgrounds on Saturday night.
There will also be a grudge match between Brandon Dennis, who is the Zimbabwean lightweight champion, and his Malawian counterpart Israel Kamwamba.
While the Dennis-Kamwamba showdown is certain to bring lightning and thunder on Saturday night, it is the title fight between Mwadziwana and Mhere which is the talk of the town.
Mwadziwana is confident of securing victory over his opponent in this 12-round bout.
“I am fit and ready to go,” he said at his training gym. “I know how a win feels and I’m not ready to lose.
“I know Mhere and how he fights but I’m eagerly waiting for the fight. I need to prove my relevancy in boxing,” said Mwadziwana.
The fight is organised by his stable Delta Force in conjunction with their sponsors Gypsite Electronics and Contractors.

Simon Sankulani, Mwadziwana’s trainer, is confident that his boxer will win Saturday’s bout.
“Mwadziwana is fit both mentally and physically for the fight and I believe that it will not go beyond eight rounds.
“Tinashe is in a good shape and fit for the task, we want him to go regional and even become an international boxing icon”, Sankulani said.
Boxing promoter Clemence Zingoni urged all boxing fans to come and enjoy the boxing showdown.
“It’s going to be an electric night especially the main bout. I encourage all boxing fans to come and witness Zimbabwean boxing at its best.”
Zingoni promised an even better reward this time for Mwadziwana after he gave him cash and a car when he won the Kalakoda Promotions sponsored Friday Night Fights boxing event.
“It’s going to be a surprise but I know he will like it. We are trying to promote boxing in the country, from now on as the sport of boxing will take an upward trajectory.
“We want to make sure we produce another world-class boxer in the country, and that is the only way our boxers can earn a proper living,” said Zingoni.
Meanwhile, 18-year-old Alfonso Zvenyika (Jnr) will be another attraction at the event. Out of six amateur fights, he has only lost one.
“This is my debut fight into professional boxing but I must say I was born a boxer and I’m ready for the match”, said Zvenyika (Jnr), son to the legendary former Commonwealth flyweight champion Alfonso “Mosquito” Zvenyika.
Zvenyika (Jnr) will face Anyway Katunga in a flyweight non-title fight over 10 rounds.
