GreenFuel winger Nelson Mwasanga has committed himself to the Chisumbanje-based side for another season.
His contract had expired on June 30.
The winger has been having a steady rise on the local scene and is considered to be among the most promising talents emerging on the local scene.
However, his first half of the season was not all rosy as he suffered an injury setback that sidelined him for a while.
Speaking to Zimpapers Sports, Mwasanga expressed his commitment to serve the club as he seeks to help it achieve its goals.
“I am grateful to the club management that keeps on finding faith in my services.
“I am delighted to extend my stay at the club and I am dedicated to continuing to help the club grow in its endeavour to be a stronghold on the local game.”
Mwasanga believes the Chisumbanje community deserves their full commitment for rallying behind the team.
Saul Chaminuka recently took the reins at the club as head coach and Mwasanga says he is always ready to work under any coach.
“The community here in Chisumbanje is very supportive and they deserve to be given the best on and off the field and hope to help the team bring some silverware.
“In football, a lot happens and coaches change also and it’s part of the game, you can’t change. I believe I have to work extra hard so that whoever is the coach finds it befitting for me to play. I have previously worked with coach Chaminuka so it’s not going to be that difficult to adapt to his style of play and I am always ready to give my best in training to earn my position in the team.
He added: “Now as a team, we have to push extra hard such that we don’t find ourselves dropping into the relegation zone. We deserve to be at the top with others and it all goes how the team reacts on the field of play.”
