IN-FORM ZIFA Northern Region Division One Soccer League log leaders Black Mambas will face a stern test when they travel to Norton for a date with Lloyd Mutasa-coached MWOS at Ngoni Stadium this afternoon.

Mambas are yet to taste defeat in the 13 starts with John “Toto” Ncube’s former Premiership side quickly establishing themselves for the title.

Ncube however, remains humble and is on record saying they are taking each game as it comes.

After the mid-week draw against Herentals Under-20, Ncube emphasised they were not looking at anything short of a top four finish.

“I think our targets haven’t changed yet. We want to play well and finish in a respectable position, maybe a top four finish as we are re-building. We are happy that the boys are doing well and we are getting favourable results.

“I am looking forward to the game against MWOS who are also looking forward to the championship and I think it is going to be a tough match,” said Ncube.

Mutasa’s side are in third place after 13 games and have only lost once. A positive result against the leaders will see them reduce the gap to two points.  MWOS did themselves a big favour after they defeated Omnia 3-0 in their last match, with veteran Chris Samakwere netting a brace.

Meanwhile, the Zvishavane derby will be resuscitated when FC Platinum Under-19 host Shabanie Mine in the ZIFA Central Region Division One Soccer League at Mandava tomorrow afternoon.
