MWOS take on FC Platinum

Good afternoon everybody!

MWOS are taking on FC Platinum at Ngoni Stadium in Norton this afternoon.

FC Platinum go into this match as the only team without a defeat in the 2025 campaign.

Top referee, Brighton Chimene has been tasked to handle this high profile encounter.

MWOS are unbeaten at Ngoni since the Norton venue was homologated for PSL matches in April.

They have played seven matches so far at this venue since their historical 1-0 win over Dynamos in their first ever PSL match at Ngoni back in April.

FC Platinum come into the match as the only team without a defeat in the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League campaign.

FC Platinum’s Precision Phiri headed wide off an inch perfect cross from the right by Davison Marowa.

18′ FC Platinum grab the lead through Davison Marowa.

Thubelihle Jubane carried the ball for almost 20 metres before flighting a cross that was headed home by pint sized winger Marowa.

MWOS living dangerously, they are having to repel attack after attack as FC Platinum are now dominating.

Mathew Murambiwa with a chance to level matters but he mistimed his shot.

MWOS started strongly and some good chances in the opening 15 minutes but they failed to capitalise.

Billy Veremu and Matthew Murambiwa were close for The Punters.

The tables turned in the 18th minute when Marowa headed home a cross by Thubelihle Jubane.

Tinotenda Mutyambizi also came close for MWOS, his long range drive missing the target by a few inches.

MWOS coach Lloyd Mutasa has a lot to talk about at half time as he needs to preserve an unbeaten run at Ngoni.

Phiri prodded home a cross by Thubelihle Ndlovu.
