A new film “My Lady” is set to première in Harare on August 22 at Eastgate and Borrowdale.
The film was directed by United States based producer Nick Zemura. Zemura said the story is about a local businessman Muteri who tries to get a tender from the Ministry of Finance and has dedicated all his energy and resources to winning it.

This leaves his long time girlfriend, Shami, frustrated and tired of waiting for the ring. His girlfriend got frustrated and moved out of the relationship .Muteri’s world suddenly comes crushing down, until he bumps into a street prostitute, Ruvarashe, who operates under the name Primrose.

Muteri, having just suffered the pain of heartbreak, has no time for Ruva’s antics, but finds her honesty much more palatable than the façade of city ladies. He decides to make it his mission to rehabilitate Ruva, but she seems bent in her ways, and the two learn to exist in each other’s world, and slowly changing each other’s minds. Zemura said the heart warming story of love and human triumph, morality and choices will not only educate, but entertain to a heart’s content.

“This film does not give viewers entertainment only but it educates them,” he said.

He added that it tackles some burning issues of the society. Some of the casts includes Jekie Kavhiya who takes the cameo role of Shami.

Kavhiya said she was happy to work with Zemura who managed to give her an important role.
