Music and football are inseparable, when the beautiful game is at play, fans are heard cheering their favourite teams through music and dance, motivating them to play a splendid game and score goals.
This inspires players on the ground to do well and please the 12-man on the stadia. As such, multi-award-winning Kwaito and AmaPiano artiste Mzoe7 has penned a song titled Tshilamoya which heaps praise on various Highlanders FC’s legends.
The banger was produced by Smash Maker and it features Afro Pop goddess Thandy Dhlana who blends well with the AmaPiano inspired beat.
Mzoe7, who is a staunch Bosso fan said he wrote the song so that he revives the names of the team’s legends for them to be known from generation to generation.

“I wrote the song with a different beat in my head but kudos to Smash Maker as he had another awesome idea of a different instrumental which we developed to the current song. Growing up in Entumbane, Bulawayo, when Bosso fans paraded their way to watch the game, we cheered them as young kids and that made us fall in love and instill the Highlanders’ loyalty in our lives. This made me fall in love with Tshilamoya.
“Even when Bosso scored, we sang names of stars we wished to meet and those we met. So, with this song, I want the next generation to know about all these great super heroes who existed before including Tapuwa Kapini, Thulani “Biya” Ncube, Johannes “Tshisa” Ngodzo, Madinda Ndlovu, Tymon Mabaleka and many more,” said Mzoe7.
With the cinematography of the video done by Keaitse Films, the video features other staunch Bosso fans including award-winning journalist Sindiso Dube, Dr 2Oh, Mandisi, Sleek the Geek Twin as well as Elemento. With this song, Mzoe7 joins some of the great musicians who united soccer fans though music including Lovemore Majaivana, Stanley Nyathi, Zakes Manatsa, as well as Khuxman. Among his generation, he joins Msiz’ Kay who penned a song for Chicken Inn — The Gamecocks.
