Mzoe7 revels in Rouxgold Travel and Tours ambassadorial role

Mbulelo Mpofu,
IN pure Mordecai Kwenda fashion, life is “better” for singer Mzoe7 who is basking in glory after putting pen to paper  on a ambassadorial role with travel agency, Rouxgold Travel and Tours, a feat he will be sharing with Nigel the Sleek Pastor.

After releasing the song “Kungcono” after the sermon from Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) Church and performing it with social media comics Umnikazi Wempuphu, and MrNyathiSir at the Roil Bulawayo Arts Awards (BAA), Mzoe7 is ending the year on a high note.

An elated Mzoe7 told Chronicle Showbiz that such a deal speaks of his growth as a musical brand.

“I’m glad to be showing progress in my career and I would like to thank Rouxgold Travel and Tours for believing in me and the whole Mzoe7 brand. This also shows that there is greater room for greater relationships between corporates and creatives,” he said.

Mzoe7 is not new to working with corporates to solidify his brand, something that he feels is essential as, “it builds the brand and helps sustain the business side of things. It also helps the brand to be more professional. Endorsements helps creatives to explore more in the process building business confidence.”

In the past, he has worked with Klobber Fusion as their brand ambassador and they have been responsible for his attire at the Roil BAAs, and also working closely with Pacific Cigarette Company, Econet Wireless, Chibuku, and City of Kings apparel.

Mzoe7, also know as “Mr Gagagugu” said the deal is a plus for those in the cultural and creative industries (CCIs) like himself.

“My role as an ambassador is to make sure that I put the Rouxgold Travel and Tours brand in good light, making sure the world knows more about the great services it offers. Also, there will be greater packages for my fellow creatives and everyone out there,” he said.

Amanda Munyikwa who is the Marketing Executive for Rouxgold Holdings said Mzoe7 fits the bill for the kind of ambassador the company wanted.

“So in our minds, Mzoe7 has his fingers on the pulse of Bulawayo. He is the rhythm that makes the city move. He was the only logical choice. We did not want to be a Harare company coming into Bulawayo with Harare tactics, not understanding the Bulawayo market.

“With his wide network we knew Mzoe7 would help us to penetrate the market and to tailor our strategy specifically for Matabeleland. From our energy SBU to travel, we knew he would help us speak to the market. His sphere of influence goes beyond music but also resonates in the corporate world,” she said.

Musically, the “Ginimbi” hitmaker will be releasing  a song with Thandy Dhlana-Jele alongside LaDee titled, “Amalanga awafani.” – @MbuleloMpofu
