South African musicians NaaqMusiQ and Mthandeni SK are expected to arrive in Bulawayo on Friday ahead of the much-anticipated Harris Music Festival.

The event, now regarded as the unofficial shutdown party of the week-long Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF), will take place on Saturday, marking a vibrant close to the business-focused exhibition.

As the fair wraps up, the festival will shift the atmosphere from business to celebration, with Zimdancehall heavyweight Winky D headlining the show. The line-up also features a strong South African contingent, including Scotts Maphuma, Kamo Mpela, Makhadzi, JazzWorx, Thukuthela, Cowboii, and Tracy, who are expected to arrive in the city on Saturday.

Local artistes are also set to bring the heat, with performances from Msiz’kay, Mzoe7, MTKay Ntwana, Prince Eskhosini, DJ Eugy, and DJ Sfiso, among others.

Event organisers say preparations are complete and anticipation is high.
“We’re looking forward to receiving our visitors, the musicians from South Africa who start arriving on Friday. The rest will arrive on Saturday, some at midday and others at 3pm. The show is finally here and we’re excited to share with patrons what we’ve been planning for months,” said the organisers.

Over the years, the event has grown into a key highlight on Bulawayo’s entertainment calendar, offering ZITF visitors a full experience of the city’s vibrant nightlife.

For the past decade, the show which has evolved from the ZITF Shutdown to Bulawayo Shutdown and now the Harris Music Festival, has consistently been staged on the final day of the fair, giving revellers a chance to unwind in style.
