THE National Athletics Association of Zimbabwe (Naaz) is set to host four major World Athletics coaching and officiating courses in Bulawayo starting this August.

All sessions will be held at White City Stadium and have attracted participants from across Africa. The programme kicks off with a World Athletics Level 1 coaching course from August 5–16.

This will be followed by a CECS Level 2 coaching course from August 19–30. From September 2–6, Naaz will host a World Athletics Lecturer Training Course.

The final course, an RDC Level 1 Coaching Course, runs from September 9–20. Naaz administrator Manuel Mpofu says preparations are complete, with all logistics, materials, and facilities in place.

He noted that the association is working closely with World Athletics to meet international standards. “We want to set the tone for future capacity-building in athletics,” said Mpofu.
