The National Aids Council (NAC)’s sexual reproductive health programmes in Mashonaland Central have helped students in tertiary institutions to be disciplined and self-aware, which are virtues not found in academic books, but are key to survival of human beings, Bindura University of Science Education (BUSE)’s dean of students Dr Retias Makado has said.
Speaking at a handover ceremony of sporting equipment from NAC to the university for a sports gala to in the near future, Dr Makado said the gesture would help in the development of talent in young people.
“Young people have so much talent and SayWhat is producing results at the university through their partnership with NAC,” he said. “Every child is a bundle of all possibilities.
“NAC is in the forefront in fighting HIV/AIDS and their impact is felt in the reduction of new infections.
“Young people at the university are now aware of how to take care of themselves. We have disciplined students, expect for a few,” he said.
