NADIA NAKAI’S WICKED JAB

JOHANNESBURG. − Award-winning rapper Nadia Nakai may still be mourning her late boyfriend, AKA, but that isn’t stop her from grinding.

Nakai took to Instagram to announce a new song, “Wall to Wall”, a collaboration with brothers, MajorSteez, Touchline and Kane Keid.

Taking to her Instagram, Nakai shared a captivating video snippet of her verse, complemented by a fierce and empowering caption: “Sometimes you gotta pop out and show B*****s, check out my full verse on @officialmajorsteez Wall to wall Freestyle out on YouTube now!”

The response from her fan base was immediate and overwhelming.

Within just a few hours of its release, “Wall to Wall” had garnered nearly 20 000 views on YouTube.

Comments flooded in, lauding her skill and presence.

But beneath the layered beats and fiery verses lies a pointed critique.

Fans couldn’t help but reflect on Nakai shading her co-star on “Young, Famous and African” co-star Annie Macaulay-Idibia, with the “wicked witch of the west” line.

Nakai had previously labelled Macaulay-Idibia a “wicked witch” during a heated exchange on the hit Netflix reality series and fans were quick to connect the dots.

Social media lit up with commentary: “Damnnn nadia just said sickest witch from wessttt damnnn that line was for Annie,” wrote @MarishaDeLange-lw1uf.

Another chimed in: “Did Nadia sideline Annie, “Wicked Witch of the West?”
