Nakamba gets musical salute from Tojey Blox. . . From ghetto beats to global midfield dreams

LUTON Town may be down, but Marvelous Nakamba’s name is rising on the local charts, thanks to Bulawayo’s very own, “Tojey Blox!”

The “Power” hitmaker has teamed up with Metallic Boiz to release a blistering new track titled “Marvelous”, a musical tribute to the Warriors midfield maestro.

The Afro-fusion banger, sprinkled with dancehall flavour, hit YouTube on Sunday and is already setting speakers ablaze.

Tojey Blox, real name Blessing Banda, says the song isn’t just about football. It’s about honouring a man who never forgot his roots.

“It’s about how Nakamba carries himself on and off the pitch, his style, his humility, and how he gives back to the community,” said Blox.

“He’s a symbol of hope for us ghetto youths.”

The pair haven’t met in person, but Tojey says they’ve chopped it up via Instagram, enough to fuel this personal salute.

Nakamba, still contracted to Luton Town until 2026, may have suffered relegation with the club, but back home he’s being celebrated as a hero.

From Premier League appearances to grassroots initiatives, he’s shown that success isn’t just measured in goals and glory.

Last year, his Marvelous Nakamba Foundation joined forces with World Vision for an anti-drug football tournament in Lupote — a project close to Blox’s heart.

“Marvelous isn’t just a baller. He’s a leader, a role model, a giver,” said the rapper. “We had to put that in a song.”

From Hwange’s dusty streets to England’s top stadiums, Nakamba’s journey is now riding a new wave, on radio playlists and in ghetto anthems.

Whether he’s bossing the pitch or stealing hearts in the streets, Marvelous has avalanched into a whole vibe!
