NAKAMBA HITS THE GYM

Sports Reporter

WARRIORS captain Marvelous Nakamba has started his rehabilitation following a knee injury that has kept him out of Luton Town’s last nine Premiership matches from December 23 last year amid fears he might not play again this season.

On Wednesday Nakamba posted visuals of his gym sessions and said:

“The comeback is always stronger than the setback. See you soon.”

Having completed a permanent move to Luton ahead of the 2023/24 season, Nakamba featured in the team squad for 13 of the first 16 matches before a knee injury knocked him out.

In his absence, Luton are back in the relegation zone and face an uphill task to survive.

Last month, Luton coach Rob Edwards conceded that losing Nakamba was a huge blow for their survival strategy.

“We do miss Marv, he does give us something really different and something that’s unique in that position.

“I’ll say it again, we have the scope to improve the group and we’ll get that if we think there’s someone who can really help us and make us better. If that isn’t achievable for us then I love what we’ve got here in the building right now, I’m more than happy to go with that we have,” he said.
