ZIMBABWE international Marvelous Nakamba returned to the Luton Town line-up following an injury-lay off and lasted 72 minutes in their 1-2 defeat against champions Manchester City at their Kenilworth Road yesterday.
It was Luton Town’s fourth defeat in their last five Premiership matches, keeping them in the relegation zone.
Luton are third from bottom with nine points from 16 matches and just one point above bottom placed Sheffield United.
Nakamba, who was injured in Rwanda while on Warriors duty, was the first player to be yellow carded in the match with the 57th minute caution ruling him out of Luton’s next game away to Bournemouth on Saturday.
Luton Town boss Rob Edwards made three changes to the side that lost out 3-4 to Arsenal on Tuesday.
When Nakamba was taken out for Sambi Lokonga, Luton had conceded two goals in three minutes to allow Manchester City overturn a half-time deficit through Bernado Silva and Jack Grealish.
