WARRIORS’ midfielder, Marvelous Nakamba is believed to have been given the green light to leave his English Premier League (EPL) side, Aston Villa despite his contract ending next year.

Nakamba helped Championship side Luton Town gain promotion to the EPL having joined them on loan from Villa and became a darling to thousands of fans at Kenilworth Road.

At the end of the season, his future came under discussion.

However, recent reports seem to suggest that Villa boss, Unai Emery appears to have opened the door for Nakamba to leave Villa Park during the English summer transfer window which is open.

Emery is said to have admitted to looking for new players to bolster his team and isn’t looking at reintegrating those who were out on loan.

According to English publication, The Athletic, Emery said: “We will add some different players for the project but the most important players are here now,” in the final week of the season.

Leaving Aston Villa will be a move welcomed by many at Luton Town where the Warriors star had become a fan favourite.

Nakamba’s journey to Luton Town had started on the last day of the January transfer window when he joined the team on loan from Aston Villa.

In his 17 regular league appearances, he showcased his talent and received rave reviews from fans and critics alike.

Playing a crucial role, Nakamba inspired his team to nine wins, seven draws, and only one defeat against the championship-winning Burnley, managed by the legendary Vincent Kompany.

The Warriors star joined Aston Villa in 2019 and penned a five-year contract.
