WARRIORS captain Marvelous Nakamba is targeting a bigger role at Panetolikos after making his Greek Super League debut in Sunday’s 3-1 victory over Asteras Tripolis.

Nakamba replaced Diego Esteban in the 84th minute at Panetolikos Stadium, with Panetolikos already leading 3-1.

The midfielder joined the club earlier this month after leaving Sheffield Wednesday and signed a contract running until June 2027. Greece is the fifth country of his European career after France, the Netherlands, Belgium and England.

“It was a good feeling to make my debut,” said Nakamba.

Gustav Granath, Charalampos Mavrias and Kosta Aleksic scored for Panetolikos, while Federico Macheda netted Asteras Tripolis’ consolation.

Nakamba said his focus was now on building his fitness, earning more playing time and being ready when called up-on.
