A new teen hip-hopper with strong, well-thought lyrics has emerged in the local musical circles.

“Nargee” real name Nyasha Gwari, (19), says he believes he has a calling of bringing change to the young people of today.

He has a compelling voice which just pierces right through your heart and leaves you reeling and asking for more.

Many have described the young man’s voice as infectious, soothing and some have even said he invokes a sense of purpose.

He has released a new single “Kumberi”, which has a video that has gone viral on the social media.

Nargee is not only richly endowed with a solid voice but also with an intellect as he writes his own songs and is still learning to play the guitar.

Nargee said he aspires to inspire the young generation and sing the type of music which can give them hope for a better tomorrow.

“Once one listens to my songs, one gets hooked forever and one finds himself or herself singing them over and over again, be it at work, college or school. In that way I am educating and strengthening my peers,” said Nargee.

His message is simple yet he hits the nail on the head again and again.

His message has resonance with the young people. The young hip-hopper has performed at Shoko Festival 2013 together with Nibcrouch. He also performed at Miss Poly 2013, Changamire Festival and Kwansa Festival.

He also wishes to work with the celebrated superstar Oliver Mtukudzi and songbird Tererai Mugwadi in the near future.
