Natalie Portman has stayed out of the spotlight since she and fiance Benjamin Millepied welcomed their son into the world in June. The couple hasn’t announced a name or released a picture, but now reports come from Israel that suggest Portman and Millepied gave their firstborn the name Alef, after the first letter in the Hebrew alphabet.
The rumor (Portman’s camp hasn’t commented yet) stems from Israel Haymon, which reported that “Good Evening with Guy Pines” had broadcast the name not long after Portman gave birth. Portman does have strong ties to Israel: she was born in Jerusalem.
