THE National Darts Association of Zimbabwe (NDAZ) has named a provisional squad of 22 players that will be trimmed to 16 for the Region 5 Games to be held in Zambia in August.

The players were selected after the NDAZ Easter competition held in Gweru. Ten men and six women will represent the country at the regional competition.

NDAZ secretary Stephen Mwarindira said the 22 will attend national trials set for June.

“The provisional squad will attend trials at Munyati Power Station on the first weekend of June. The players we’ve selected posted the best points at the just-ended tournament and we’re confident of coming up with strong teams to send to Zambia,” said Mwarindira.

Meanwhile, Mashonaland West won gold at the Easter tournament, with Harare settling for silver and Midlands taking bronze.
