Navaya will move to SA “if the offers are good”

With reports linking Zimbabwean striker Washington Navaya to different clubs in the Betway Premiership, the striker himself has said that if the offers are right, he would move to South Africa.

Talking to Soccer Laduma in an exclusive interview, the striker, who has recently been crowned Zimbabwe’s Star Player of the year, said yes, he had trials at Durban City earlier this year, but he would join any team that comes in with a good offer.

“Right now I’m on national duty. So I think they’ve talked to my agent, so I don’t know what’s happening. I’m okay with it if the offers are good. Maybe they should start talking to my agent,” Navaya told Soccer Laduma.

In July the 27 year old striker spent a week on trials at Durban City and the KZN based side was interested in signing him but they are believed to have been waiting for the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League season to finish so they can sign him as a free agent which could now happen after the AFCON in Morocco as Navaya is part of the Zimbabwe national team at the tournament.

This season, Navaya scored 17 goals for TelOne, and he was the top goalscorer, which helped him win the Soccer Star of the Year in Zimbabwe.
