Ncube refuses to give up on Gwanda North

ZANU-PF losing candidate for Gwanda North constituency, Cde Lungisani Costa TwoMinutes Ncube has vowed to continue giving back to his community despite his electoral defeat.
This has seen him embarking on a number of developmental projects aimed at uplifting the area.
By embarking on these initiatives, Cde Ncube is demonstrating his dedication to the welfare of his constituents, regardless of the election outcome.
Speaking to Sunday News yesterday, Cde Ncube who was at Vumbachikwe mine that was closed said that he is drilling a borehole for the community after the mine owners failed to pay the Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company their bills which led to electricity cuts and lack of water as there was failure to pump water without electricity.
“There is no electricity in this area and it is a disaster because there is no water, people are really suffering,” said Cde Ncube.
“I am currently on site, overseeing the drilling of a borehole, with plans to drill a second one if the water quality is deemed safe for consumption. We are drilling one borehole today, and if the water is safe, we will proceed with drilling another one,” he revealed.
He said he has been helping Vumbachikwe residents because they were stranded following the closure of the local mine were most of them worked resulting in over 1500 jobs loses.
Cde Ncube also revealed that he has supported the former Vumbachikwe miners by providing something to help feed them.
“I have also donated two trucks full of 60 tonnes of maize meal to the Vumbachikwe residents in the past months to help feed their families,” he said.
Cde Ncube further revealed that he is building a school in Gwanda North.
“I decided to build a secondary school in Wililisa after I saw that children had to suffer trekking more than 20kilometers to get to school,” said Mr Ncube.
“I have donated 700 bags of cement for now and residents are building the school. I have also drilled a borehole for the residents and for the builders to easily get water when constructing the school and I have also fenced the area where the school is being built,” said Cde Ncube.
Furthermore he said that he has also renovated all the blocks and toilets of Sibhula primary and secondary schools and painted the classroom and fenced the whole school.
“I have renovated the classroom blocks and toilets Sibhula primary and secondary schools, painted them inside and out and fenced the primary school, constructed basketball and tennis courts for the secondary school and everything costed about USD 15 000.
Furthermore Cde Ncube said that he has provided water for other two schools the Sizeze primary and Nkadhe secondary by drilling boreholes for them.
“I drilled a borehole in Sizeze primary and also drilled another borehole at Nkadhe primary where I also put the water pipes and two JoJo tanks,” he said.
Moreover Cde Ncube said that he also bought furniture for Mzimuni Secondary school all this to support and educational sector in Gwanda.
“I bought chairs and desks for the students of Mzimuni secondary to help the children learn in a very friendly and comfortable manner.
“I also donated and drilled a solarized bore and bought one JoJo tank for the Spitzkop suburb answering to their outcry amid the water problems they were in. I drilled six solarized boreholes for the Magwe community and bought a 75 horse power pump to the Magwe irrigation that cost about US$11 000,” said Cde Ncube.
He said that he renovated the Stanmore clinic, fixed the roof which was now very old, put new burglar bars and doors in all the cottages and tiling the whole clinic.
