2025 reigning Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Coach of the Year, Tonderai Ndiraya, has joined Chicken Inn on a three-year contract.
Ndiraya joins the Gamecocks (Chicken Inn) from Scotland.
The Premiership-winning coach parted ways with the league debutants at the end of the season after guiding them to their league championship in their debut year.
The Gamecocks, who have won the local premiership once, have now sought the services of Ndiraya as they attempt to revive the club.
Chicken Inn confirmed Ndiraya’s appointment in a communique.
“Chicken Inn Football Club has appointed a new technical team as part of its ongoing drive to strengthen performance, professionalism and competitive consistency.
“Reigning Coach of the Year Tonderai Ndiraya has been appointed Head Coach, bringing proven top-flight experience and strong tactical leadership.
“He has signed a three-year contract with the Gamecocks and will be assisted by Naison Muchekela as first assistant coach, with Fortune Ncube named as second assistant coach. Appointments to the wider backroom staff will be announced in due course,” reads a press release from the club.
Ndiraya has been tasked with developing a football philosophy that will transform the club.
“The technical team is tasked with implementing a clear football philosophy focused on structure, intensity, discipline and results, while supporting player development and team cohesion,” said Chicken Inn.
The Gamecocks finished 12th in the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season.
