NGEZI PLATINUM coach Tonderai Ndiraya got one over his mentor as his side posted their third win on the bounce since he joined the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League new boys. The home side’s fans sang Ndiraya’s name after he masterminded a victory over Sunday “Mhofu” Chidzambwa’s side at the Baobab. James Nguluve’s 26th minute strike, after a goal melee, settled matters.

Former Dynamos man Walter Mukanga made his Ngezi Platinum debut and Ndiraya was delighted with what he got from the midfielder and the rest of his charges.

“It is hard work paying off. We are taking each game like it is our last and the boys are starting to gel now.

“However, we are not going to get carried away by winning three matches in a row, there is still alot of hard work to do,” said Ndiraya.

ZPC Kariba were held to a goalless draw by Chapungu at home in their last match and Chidzambwa must be wondering when his team will score again after watching them fire blanks for the second game in a row.

“It was a bad day in office for us,” he said.

“We failed to create chances and I would like to think this is a game that we have to quickly forget.”
