DYNAMOS coach Tonderayi Ndiraya says he wants his team to win the Chibuku Super Cup, a tournament where the Glamour Boys do not want a helping hand from elsewhere for them to be victorious. They meet Chapungu at Mandava on Sunday.

Although DeMbare are in the race for the league championship, they need results elsewhere to favour their cause. “We are aiming for the two Cups but I think the one we are in control of is the Chibuku Cup. If we win our games then we have greater chances of getting the Cup.

“The league championship, we are relying on other teams. Yes, we reduced the gap to four points (in the title race) but it is not in our hands.

“If Chicken Inn are going to win all their games, they will win the league championship.

“So, we will just pray, keep focused, keep playing our games, making sure that we win all our games, praying that Chicken Inn drop some points and take advantage but it is not in our hands.

“We are having our last training session tomorrow (today) and I think I can confirm that by tomorrow we would be ready, we still have one more day to go.

“But mentally we are prepared. The moment we qualified for the semi final, the boys knew what they were going to face.

“We have played Chapungu before, we have seen them on television playing and we have seen them in a couple of games, so we know what we are going up against.

“They have done well the whole season, not just in the Cup game they won against Chicken Inn, largely their season has been quite good, they are not a small team, they have good players, quality players with a very strong mentality and are physically strong.”

The gaffer said they were worried that fatigue may catch up with them as they make another long trip inside a week.

“Mandava is not new to us. We have been there, playing FC Platinum on a number of occasions and we have also played a Cup match there and won.

“It’s a good pitch, nice ground with a very good turf and we expect to play a very good match there, a normal game and see what happens.

“But we are looking forward to the match, looking forward to playing in Mandava and looking forward to qualifying to the next round,” he said.
