NDIRAYA’S SCOTTS REUNION

Sports Reporter

OUTGOING Coach of the Year, Tonderai Ndiraya might still decide the destiny of this season’s Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title he won in 2024 and 2025 with Simba Bhora and Scottland.

Now at mid-table Chicken Inn, Ndiraya is back at Rufaro Stadium tomorrow for the re-arranged MatchDay 31 match against Scottland in an encounter whose outcome has a strong bearing on this season’s champions.

Scottland cannot afford to drop points in the match as they battle to retain the title with just two more rounds of matches to follow while newcomers Hardrock are currently leading by five points.

While the match would have been an ordinary one for a Chicken Inn, Ndiraya’s presence adds a bit of pressure on the visitors.

“We have a very important game. We are travelling to Harare to play Scottland, a team that is fighting for the title while we are fighting to finish in a respectable position.

“It’s a game that we are looking forward to with a lot of enthusiasm and it is our hope and wish that we will go there and represent the (Chicken Inn) badge well and bring points home.

“We want to finish the league on a high. If you recall, we have gone quite a number of games now without tasting defeat. We have done very, very well if you also look at where the team is coming from. As a team we have done tremendously well.

“We would have wanted to be up there with the best but I think we have done very well,” said Ndiraya in a message to the Chicken Inn supporters yesterday.
