The Zanu PF Mashonaland West provincial executive council has suspended its provincial vice chairman and Chegutu West legislator Cde Dexter Nduna, pending a disciplinary hearing set for March 3.
Cde Nduna is facing a slew of allegations which include defying the party directive to hold primary elections for Ward 2 in Chegutu Urban, inciting and instigating violence during primary elections by organising mobs to disturb the smooth running of elections and deliberately submitting a wrong name of Cde Enwell Chipuriro, as a sole candidate for the party in Ward 2.
He also faces allegations of dividing the party by misrepresenting facts on the rightful candidate to the first 2020 executive meeting, disloyalty, dishonesty and bringing the name of the party into disrepute.
According to a prohibition order addressed to Cde Nduna by the Provincial Secretary for Administration Cde Simbarashe Ziyambi, he is barred from calling, addressing or officiating at any meeting of the party and visiting party offices.
‘‘The provincial executive council sitting in its second meeting of 2020 at Zanu PF Ngezi District Office, intends to take disciplinary action against you, according to the party constitution Article 10 Section 79(1),’’ reads the prohibition order.
Cde Nduna is expected to report for disciplinary hearing at the Zanu PF provincial offices in Chinhoyi.
The hearing starts at 10am.
