NETONE STEERS ZIMBABWE’S DIGITAL FUTURE WITH INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS

NETONE is proud to reaffirm its commitment to driving Zimbabwe’s digital agenda through customer-centric innovations and strategic leadership.

As the organisation continues on its growth trajectory, recent product enhancements and service rollouts underscore NetOne’s dedication to connecting communities and delivering value to all stakeholders.

In a significant move to boost the tourism sector, NetOne launched its specialised Tourist SIM card, available at major entry points, including airports, for free. This initiative ensures that visitors to Zimbabwe can access affordable, high-quality connectivity from the moment they arrive, supporting the

“Zimbabwe is Open for Business” philosophy.

The Tourist SIM offers flexible bundles tailored to short-term visitors, reinforcing the country’s appeal as a premier destination. The SIM remains active for 90 days, ensuring visitors stay connected throughout their stay.

Further demonstrating its responsiveness to consumer lifestyles, NetOne has refined its data service structure. The leadership team has overseen the adjustment of off-peak hours to now run from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM, a shift from the previous 1:00 AM to 7:00 AM window.

This customer-first adjustment allows more Zimbabweans to take advantage of faster, more affordable internet for overnight downloads, updates, and entertainment, aligning with the nation’s growing data consumption patterns.

These product innovations are part of a broader vision anchored in governance, reform, and technology.

Through strategic partnerships, such as the recent MoU with the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, NetOne is also creating income-generating opportunities for young people while expanding digital and financial inclusion across all ten provinces.

NetOne’s leadership remains focused on steering the ship in the right direction, guided by principles of accountability, transparency, and integrity.

By listening to customers and continuously refining its offerings, NetOne is solidifying its position as a pillar of Zimbabwe’s journey toward a prosperous, tech-driven future.
