Never Rauzhi deal done

HIGHLANDERS unveiled Never Rauzhi yesterday morning as their striker. The player moved from Bulawayo Chiefs on a six-month deal and is expected to add firepower to the strikeforce which has seven-goal hero Lynoth Chikuhwa and Brighton Ncube who has so far scored five goals in his debut season.

Rauzhi has six goals to his account. Highlanders are not done with their business in the mid-season transfer window with focus now on landing the signature of Arenel’s centreback Arthur Ndlovu. The 28-year-old has been impressive for Arenel this season despite his team sitting at the bottom of the Castle Lager table.

Ndlovu has previously played for Mpopoma Pirates and Ciwu in the lower rungs of Bulawayo football. In 2018, he had a stint with Bulawayo Chiefs before going on to join Arenel and assisting in their promotion to the topflight league. He scored four goals in the process.

Having already beefed up their strikeforce with the capture of Nqobile Ndlovu and Never Rauzhi on loan from Bulawayo Chiefs, Bosso are now looking to strengthen their defence. Highlanders have already engaged Arenel on the availability of the player on a loan deal.

Arenel administrator Juma Phiri confirmed that they received a request from the Bulawayo giants.”We received a request from Highlanders but for now there is not much to comment on as proper negotiations will be done during the course of the week,” said Phiri.

It has been a busy window for Bosso with the club also loaning out Reason Sibanda to Bulawayo Chiefs. Sibanda, who started a few games for Bosso at the beginning of the season has been struggling for game time and is part of the loan agreement between Bosso and Chiefs for Rauzhi.

Highlanders are also having a look at Mainline striker Proud Khuphe who has to impress coach Kelvin Kaindu if he is to wear the black and white jersey.  Khuphe was the top goalscorer in the Southern Region Division One league last year with 17 goals.—@innocentskizoe
