The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has opened investigations in connection with the theft of 20 Covid-19 vaccination cards under unclear circumstances at a clinic in Mwenezi.

This comes as the police escalates its blitz against syndicates behind fake Covid-19 vaccination cards and negative PCR certificates.

In a statement on Monday, the police appealed for information saying those who can assist can visit the nearest police station.

“Police in Mwenezi are investigating circumstances surrounding a case of theft of 20 vaccination cards which was discovered on September 1 2021 at Chirindi Clinic,” reads the statement.

“Anyone with information to contact any nearest Police Station.”
