NEW: 252 new cholera cases reported

ZIMBABWE on Wednesday reported 252 new suspected cases of cholera, with Harare’s suburbs recording the bulk of new infections.

According to latest data from the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC), 57 districts have reported cases so far.

“Zimbabwe recorded 252 new suspected cases with five suspected deaths and 221 hospitalised cases,” said the MOHCC in a statement.

“Zimbabwe has so far recorded 15 137 suspected cholera cases, 1 759 confirmed cases, 14 578 recoveries, 67 confirmed deaths and 266 suspected deaths.”
