NEW: Ambassador Shava meets AU Commissioner

THE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Ambassador Frederick Shava, had a meeting with the African Union (AU) Commissioner, Ambassador Bankole Adeoye, on Thursday.

Writing on its Twitter handle, the ministry said the meeting was on the sidelines of the AU Peace and Security Council’s 14th Annual Retreat in Victoria Falls.

“On the eve of the AU Retreat in Victoria Falls, Honourable Minister Ambassador Frederick Shava accompanied by Zimbabwe’s permanent representative to the AU Ambassador Taonga Mushayavanhu and other senior Government officials had a side meeting with AU Commissioner Ambassador Bankole Adeoye.”

Ambassador Shava also met with current AU chair of the Peace and Security Council, Ambassador EmiliaNdinelao Mkusa.
